HISTORICAL ORNAMENTS **New**
The AVMHS has produced a limited edition of 30 sets of five unique veterinary historical ornaments showing the buildings of several early private veterinary colleges in the United States.
The illustrations are laser-etched on 3-inch x 1/8-inch wooden discs and come with a ribbon making them suitable for hanging and other display. A 2-page leaflet with a brief description of the college is included with the ornament.
Each set depicts the following colleges:
Chicago Veterinary College (1883-1920)
Harvard Veterinary School (1882-1901)
Indiana Veterinary College (1899-1924)
Kansas City Veterinary College (1891-1918)
McKillip Veterinary College (1892-1920)
For more information about these and other early colleges, see Past Veterinary Colleges in the United States and Canada
These unique ornaments were produced by AVMHS Charter Member Dr. Fred J. Born from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The informative
descriptions of the colleges were compiled by Dr. Howard H. Erickson, Professor Emeritus, Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
